Food

Food is one of the best things about travel, in my opinion!
The fees for the travel study program don't include meals.
  • Breakfast - every morning in the flat before we leave for the day.
  • Lunch - as we're out and about. Street food is pretty cheap. (You can get a very filling meat pasty for about a pound.)
  • Dinner - often out and about, but you can also buy things to cook at the flat.
Usually plan about $10-15 for dinner out.
TRY NEW FOODS! (Even the strange-sounding ones!)
>>> In Europe it’s bad manners to eat as you walk or standing on the street, so make time to sit down or eat out of the way.<<<
I am gluten-intolerant.  My professors answered my concerns this way: "If you can eat meat and fish, you will have plenty of eating options.  British people are very big into meat and fish so it's easy to avoid gluten.  You can also Google gluten-free restaurants and recipes ahead of time."
